Taqueria Las Brisas- My Favorite Restaurant in Ensenada

Our first evening in Ensenada we stopped at a Taco Stand to have our dinner before going onto our camp at El Rancho Refugio. The place we stopped is named Taqueria Las Brisas. It was my favorite place in Ensenada to stop at. I only went a few other places, but I have to say that Taqueria has the best tacos I have ever had. It was fun to watch as they cooked the meat for the tacos in the open air. We had the choice of what toppings we wanted.

One thing I have learned through my nine trips out of the country is to benefit from either those who have been there before or those who live there for places to go and not to go. It was a telling sign to me that Taqueria was busy and the places nearby were not busy. There was another taco stand next to Taqueria which had no business. I am thankful that our group leader took us to Taqueria.

It was wonderful to see how everyone enjoyed our stop there. In the group we had some parent/child combos. Two of our translators were Olga and Danny, mother and son. Dennis and Chase, father/son, were also part of the group. There were other combos, but these were the only pictures I have.

Taqueria now has a special place in my heart. If I lived in Ensenada, I would probably stop there several times a week for lunch or dinner. It does not have the same sentimental appeal of Aldo’s Pizza in Constanta Romania which I found my first trip to Constanta when my host family served food the Romanians made a special point to tell me was not real Romanian food. Nonetheless Taqueria has a special place too. I highly recommend it.
