Roxi one of my Romanian Friends
Roxi is one of my friends in Romania. I met her on one of my trips to Romania when she was first dating Nicu her husband. She was teaching German when I last saw her during my trip to Constanta in December 2005 – January 2006. When Nicu and Roxi were dating and after they got married I always looked forward to seeing them during my trips there.
When I went to Constanta in July 2002, July 2004, April 2005 and December 2005, I took Roxi and Nicu to have dinner at Aldo’s Pizza which is now closed. They both did some work with a college group and also helped with children. Roxi is quieter than Nicu but she has a strength in her personality. I also discovered during my last trip to Romania that she is a good cook. She cooked food for a New Year’s Party with some of her friends.
I have been thinking abut my friends in Romania a lot lately. I hope to have another trip there some day to see them again. Life has changed so much in Romania since my first visit there in June 1997. I want to see how my friends are doing and how life has changed there since my last visit in December 2005. Nicu and Roxi have had two babies since my last visit so I would like to see them as well.
I will never forget how on one of my trips to Romania Nicu was looking at rings with Roxi in a shopping mall in Bucharest. I think I was probably the last person they wanted to see them looking at rings. I was thrilled for them and especially for Nicu because I knew that Roxi was and is good for him. She may be quiet, but I never overlooked her.

I teach English Second Language and have a ministry for internationals at my home church First Evangelical Free church in Lincoln Nebraska. I have had the pleasure of traveling in Austria, Canada, England, France, Germany, Mexico, Romania and Switzerland. My hobby is to learn words and phrases from other languages. I have learned how to greet people in 30 languages.
Nice to see you didn’t forget us. We appreciate your impression about your visit in Romania and we share the same feeling that one day (hopely very soon) we will seeing you visiting us again.
I could not forget you. I have many good memories of my times there and hope to see you again.
